Michelle Li Zeng is a queer, neurodiverse writer of Chinese heritage currently based in Tkaronto.
Their writing has been longlisted for the CBC Nonfiction Prize and published in Lake Effect 10 and Quilt. M. is a fan of speculative fiction, experimental prose, and storytelling that blurs the boundaries between what is foreign and familiar, known and unknown, remembered and forgotten.
M. opposes, in the strongest possible terms, the ongoing genocide being committed against the Palestinian people. M. joins the call for a permanent end to the Israeli occupation and brutal siege of Gaza, wherein the atrocities perpetrated by the apartheid state of Israel are armed and enabled by western imperial powers, including so-called “Canada”. From Turtle Island to Palestine, the liberation of all oppressed peoples is inextricably interwoven; none of us can be free until all of us are free.
